Week 7
Love the GE Advantium 120 Oven! We roasted a beef roast and also roasted cabbage wedges. The oven is quick to preheat, browns the food nicely & cooks in less time using the convection oven. Microwaving to reheat food is easy too. Switch the cooking trays and voila! It is interesting to have a metal lined microwave oven. Reading the Owners Manual is essential. This is not your typical microwave and oven.
The beautiful hardware from Top Knobs is in. There’s even matching pulls in larger sizes for the pantry & frig. The cherry panels are on the frig too. It’s a Kitchen Aid that is called “panel ready”. It is actually black. Owens Cabinet made the panels and installed them.
Loving the porcelain floor and Twister is cozy in his matching gray bed too. I found the best matching area rugs at Target: Threshold in Grey Trellis pattern.
Nina and Dave,
All we can say is WOW!!! This looks fantastic-want to learn more about the oven. Reminds me that my kitchen ovens are 28 years old-yikes!

Is there snow outside?

Yes, just enough to freeze on the car windows. It was 19 this morning! It will warm up next week.
Hi Nina
Now that you’ve had access to your GE Advantium for a couple of months how are you liking it? I’m planning the kitchen for a small cottage. Would you recommend it as a replacement for a wall oven?
For a summer cottage I would recommend it. It works well as an oven and as a microwave! Saves slot of space too. And it’s very sleek! And heavy duty. I like the bottom hinge too. Good luck Chris!
